Title: Possible to have different Thumbsize in different categories?
Post by: strukturwelt on March 04, 2005, 01:33:17 PM
Hi,

is it possible to have different thumb sizes in different categories? I am presenting "normal" photos and panoramic photos... You can see it here http://strukturwelt.de/Fotogalerie/fotogalerie.html  and the panoramics are here : http://strukturwelt.de/36zu9_de/36zu9_de.html I am sorry, its in german at the moment only .. but I think you can see the problem that the thumbs of the panoramic photos are much to small the size of the "normal" photos is OK.

Is there any possibility to create the thumbs outside of Coppermine via e.g. Ifran View, then uploading them ?

I have tried to do, but it didn't work...

Thanks a lot in advance,

Oliver

You can create intermediate (normal_) and thumbnail (thumb_) images and ftp them to where the original images are.  Coppermine will use them.

You will find panoramics display ok if you use the height as your thumb parameter
Use dimension ( width or height or Max aspect for thumbnail )** = height in config

I have set my thumbs to 100 height

Here is my normal thumbs -

and my panoramics

You may wish to use my other request in conjuction with this to only show one column of thumbs in the panoramic album only

Hope this is what you were after.
