Post by: enviouslystupid on March 06, 2005, 06:09:22 PM

I try installing coppermine all my information is correct but i keep getting the errors

Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Access denied for user: 'nikki@localhost' (Using password: YES)

I've been trying to solve this problem for days now so I'd appreciate any help

MySQL Host: localhost
MySQL Database Name: ohmeurtre
MySQL Username: nikki
MySQL Password: xxxxxxxx
MySQL table prefix: slash_

You would need to ask your webhost for the correct settings since we aren't going to know.

Have you tried a simple connection test?  I posted the php code for such a test here:

I've had a problem with new installs of mysql forcing the new password encyrption which fouls up many applications such as coppermine.

I suspect that your issue is slightly different, but it wouldn't hurt to verify.
