Title: I am New to Linux and Coppermine
Post by: gkochane on March 18, 2005, 01:52:23 PM
Hi

I have just purchased some webspace which uses a Linux platfor a cpanel.  I want to create a photo album and the control panel installed it all for me on my webspace.  However, I have absolutely no idea what I am doing  ??? ???

I have gone into my ftp mode and all the folders applicable have read and write access - but I cannot seem to figure out how to log in to customise my coppermine.  I hgave tried the www.yoursite.com/coppermine but it shows a not found page in my broswer.

Does it matter I saved the files in a folder called album - instead of Copperfield?  I have tried www.yoursite.com/album but still the same - I really am confused - please can anyone advise me?

Many Thanks

I'd recommend installing coppermine properly, at least then you'd know where you put it. Download the package from our site and read the instructions.

You also need to make sure your supplier has PHP running (probably so on Linux) and that you have MySQL available.
