Title: Groups- Page cannot be displayed error
Post by: Ped on March 22, 2005, 12:26:00 PM
Hi,
I just installed coppermine via fantistico and though it looks good and possibly quite functional, I am having one problem. In Admin mode, when I click on the Groups button I get a "Page cannot be displayed" error message. Does anyone know possible reasons for this?

I checked the files on the server and groupmgr.php page is there.

Since it's a fantastico install, we have no idea what they changed in the code.

Unfortunately, we cannot support Fantastico installations since we don't know what they did to the code. Unfortunately, fantastico probably doesn't provide support for its rendition, either.

All we can suggest is that you replace all the files with a download from here. Make sure to backup your current files just in case.

Found the problem, though I have no idea as to why it is happening. When the Themes window is enabled in the configuration page, the Button for Groups ceases to work. Pity really as I liked the idea of instantly changing the look at a click, but I need access to to the Groupmgr page for the initial set up at least. So the Themes Window will remain disabled for now. ;D

Posted in case someone else has a similar problem.

Thank you for sharing the solution.

Does this occur with the fantastico installation or with one from this site? You should be able to switch themes with the dropdown menu without it affecting the group manager button.

With the Fantistico installation.

I am not too sure about the installation from here. I downloaded the zip file, unzipped to a folder in my computer and uploaded the files to the web server folders. Had the same problem occuring and didn't really have time to go hunting. So, I uninstalled the gallery and reinstalled the Fantistico version.

I am not too conversant with the MySql data base and Fantistico creates the data base automatically, which generally makes my life a lot simpler.
