Title: Scrolling filmstrip thumbnails

Has anyone successfully modified the filmstrip to provide scrolling through the thumbnails left/rigt with an arrow for each direction?

I would dig this, is there any answer to this question?  Please reply!!!!  I would pay to see this.  (Literally)
