Title: Using RealPlayer to play url ram files
Post by: megacelt on March 27, 2005, 02:08:07 PM
I uploaded a series of links as url's into a single album that are streaming video rams using Realplayer.  This works, however I would like to modify the images it displays in the album in order to:

1. Change the image displayed on these links which is a generic "Real" logo on all of them. I would like to create a unique image or icon for each.

2. Change the behavior so that when the thumbnail is clicked, it starts realplayer, rather than going to a larger image first. But change this only for the thumbnails in this one album, not in other albums.

Thanks, I need your help on this one.

That is what custom thumbnails (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#cust_thmb) are for.

Hi megacelt,

I think your second question is related to a problem I had ( and solved )

Read about it here http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=16113.0

I got got the thumbnails to appear with a desired image with the custom thumbnail suggestion, thanks!

Now I would like to accomplish two things.

1. Get the thumbnail to play the video without going to intermediate pictures (still unclear).

2. The thumb nails in "Random files" and "Last additions" do not show the thumbnail's titles.  I would like them to.

Thanks again.

Hi megacelt,

If you follow the instructions at http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=16113.0 you'll see that your video will play directly after you click your thumbnail.
