Title: Users having trouble viewing pictures.
Post by: VinNieDaMac on April 16, 2005, 03:31:37 PM
I don't have this problem viewing my own page.  Another user said he could see the pictures fine.  But then there are these 2 other users who said they can't see the pictures.  They even emailed me a screenshot.

As you can see, according to that picture, not just the pictures are not working, but the buttons and such too.

Most likely the are having timeout issues, or firewall settings are too high, or security settings are set too high.  That imesh toolbar could also contribute to their problem.

Yes, the site works, and yes, it's likely a result of hotlink protection.

I noticed you gave a code to insert into .htaccess

but i don't have that file to edit on the ftp.

Do I just make one and upload it?

If you don't have a htaccess file on your server, then you don't have that type of hotlink protection.  Do you have some sort of hotlink protection enabled on your website's control panel?

In the meantime, I would point your users to the link Thu provided.  This is an issue with broswer/firewall/security settings on the client end.
