Title: Issue with coppermine connecting to MySQL database - tips on fault finding
Post by: ssavill on April 29, 2005, 10:59:07 AM
HI - I am looking for some advice... I can connect to my MySQL database using MySQL admin, and I have done the relevant maintenance work on the tables... ensured that the DB looks good

When I try to connect to photo gallery I get the following message:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Lost connection to MySQL server during query

I am not to hot on fault finding on this stuff... but from what I can see-I can connect using other Apps ok.. Are there any config files that I can go and look at / specifications of user ID etc...

I am stuck.. and website is broken...

if you want to go see the error... goto http://www.pomsa.com and choose *photo album*

Thanks in advance for any help!

Stuart.

Your site works fine for me too. It might be an intermittent problem with mySQL on your webserver.

no reply probably means ssavill's issue was fixed, but he/she was too lazy to return here and resolve the thread as well. Marking as "closed".
