Both GALLERY_ADMIN_MODE and USER_ADMIN_MODE call html_albummenu which I see if I am logged in as Administrator. I created a group called photographers and I would like them to see html_albummenu. Can I set "photographers" as user admin? If not, how do I let photographers see html_albummenu.
Thanks

any registered user who is allowed to upload can see the user_admin menu. Why don't you create a regular test user, add him to the group and log in as this user and see for yourself?

I thought any registered user who is allowed to upload can see the user_admin menu, but I created a group called photographers and gave them upload rights. I created a user in the photographer group. But when I log on as that user, I do not see the html_albummenu part of the user_admin menu. I see the upload picture and logout button across the top, but on the index page, he doesn't get the buttons that allow him to delete an album, see the properties of an album, or edit pics. I'm trying to figure out why the html_albummenu part doesn't show up for users that have upload rights. It should, shouldn't it?
Thanks for the help.

the user must be in admin mode
OK, that makes sense, but GALLERY_ADMIN_MODE has the link to choose between user mode and admin mode, but USER_ADMIN_MODE does not have that link. Should thtere be a user mode and admin mode for USER_ADMIN_MODE?

Link is http://www.ecsl.org/cpg1.2.0rc2/index.php. Click on the "X" of the eXchange club logo in the upper left hand side of page to bring up the login screen.
administrator: admin/admin
photographer: photo/photo
aha... I misunderstood you.. Now I see...
The "Photographers" users don't see the edit/delete album links, because the albums do not belong to them. They can only see them in their private galleries. If you want users to be able to edit album properties in all categories, you'll have to add them to the administrator group.
Yeah, but there are certain admin links I don't want photographers to have. Can I change the permissions on the albums so admins and photographers can edit/delete them?

the feature yor're referring to was requested before (some kind of "moderator" group that has more privileges than a regular user but less powers than an admin). Afaik this has not been done (hacked) yet.
