Title: Changed cookie name, login stopped working - how to change it back?
Post by: stratcast on May 07, 2005, 09:31:07 PM
Hi,

I am currently running a standalone Coppermine gallery at http://gallery.1337tm.com

I changed the cookie name from the default value from "cpg132_" (or something similar) to "1337tm.com" in the config page.
Now I cant login, and get the error "Warning your browser does not accept script's cookies" at the logon page.
The punctation mark is probably the problem, and I now need to change the cookie name ASAP, but I cant log into the gallery (and admin/config console).

How can I change the cookie name back to "cpg132_"? I have full access (root) to the server (it's a private webserver).

I read another thread about this error on the forum, but that did'nt help me at all figuring this out.

I have old backups of the /www and /etc folders from the Linux server, but I dont know what files to overwrite with old versions to make it work  :-\\

Excuse my bad english and thanks in advance for any replies ;)

cookie names mustn't contain dots. Use phpMyAdmin to edit coppermine's config table. Don't double-post nor cross-post (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=10413.msg82098#msg82098) >:(!
