I've looked around, and I haven't found the answer to this yet, but I do apologize if it's already been answered.

Is there a certain way to make a "Random" and "Recently Added" picture appear somewhere other than under the albums? Such as {RANDOM} or {RECENT} that will pull one of the images? I'm not sure if this is impossible or not...I saw someone using this method with Galleristic, but based on the way Coppermine is coded, I'm not sure this is comparing apples to oranges.

Any help would be appreciated though!

Do you mean you want them to appear outside of your gallery?

Look in the mods board - RSS feeds and CPMFetch do exactly that.
