Title: embedding video
Post by: mr sprocket on May 27, 2005, 12:02:02 AM
Any tips on embedding Real Player movies?  Quicktime works great and embeds and displays in the same window.  I would like to do the same real player.

afaik coppermine supports ram, ra and rm filetypes as well. Can't tell you details, as I don't have real player installed (and won't install it). What exactly goes wrong? Please post screenshots of error messages or anything unexpected.

Quciktime within the same window just fine.  When you click on a realplayer file it prompts the user to download the file.  I was hoping to contain in the same window.

Quciktime loads in the same page

Does realplayer offer some sort of browser plug-in?  Unless your visitors have that installed, they simply can't play the video.

You need to edit the filetypes table in your database and change the type for 'rm' from 'document' to 'movie'.
