the mambo bridge only comes with cpg1.4, which is still in beta stage and therefor unsupported (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=7947.0). If you want to bridge coppermine with smf, just download the most recent stable version of coppermine (currently cpg1.3.3, download link: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/coppermine/cpg1.3.3.zip?download), unzip it on your hard disk, navigate to a folder named "docs" and read the index file". Alternatively, you can read the docs online, using the "documentation" link at the very top of this page. There's an integration section in it that explains bridging. If you have particular questions that are not explained in the docs, post them along with a link to your coppermine gallery and a non-admin test user account.

Just a note to say that 4.5.3 CVS We have added special mambots for handling sessions and user management, called userbots:

This should help to allow better bridging between standalone applications and Mambo
