Hi,
I own two domains, say www.a.com and www.b.com
B.com is a add-on domain to the first one, and is in essense referred to on the server as www-b.a.com
Coppermine picks this up from the PHP variables and then all links then appear as www-b.a.com
Is there anyway I can override this and force it to use www.b.com as the base domain? I searched for an answer
but I wasnt successfull.
ok I see in some posts it is said this is not a Coppermine issues due to the domain redirection.
However is it not possible for the URLs that get generated to get forced with a certain domain prefix?
I'm running Mambo on the same domain (Addon to the main) and it references the www.b.com domain without a problem
mambo has url wrappers it uses to add them to all links, coppermine doesn't have this. Al link references are relative to coppermine's current location, not absolute. Improper server setup in your case imo. Please post live examples (actual URLs) instead of placeholders.
Thanks
the album is at www.clintonvb.com/ibiza and it redirects to the main base domain located on sluttony.com
It's a shared hosting environment so I dont have any rights to changes, but if you can post what changes need to be made I can
log a support ticket to their site and see what I can get? (www.datacities.com)
I don't get the point of your question: the actual url http://www-clintonvb.sluttony.com/ibiza/ shines through even on the address bar, what's your issue? What would be the point of all links pointing to http://www.clintonvb.com/ibiza if they're redirected anyway to the sluttony domain. You appear to be on budget webhosting imo, ask your webhosted to change this, it's not related to coppermine.
