Title: Copy old comments to a new gallery
Post by: Elmshorn on July 16, 2005, 04:51:08 PM
Hi there,

i have a little problem with my comments. I've created a new Coppermine Gallery. Later I' uploaded much more pictures then in the first main gallery, where all my comments are saved. But now I want to transfer all comments to the new one and into a new SQL Database.

I've allready looked into the SQL Datebase, there the comments are saved with an picture ID, but this isn't the same in the new gallery.
I don't want to Capy and Past all comments to the new one, because this would take a lot of time.

I hope there is a way to transfer the comments or you could help me otherwise

Unfortunately, becuase the 'picture IDs' are different, you are going to have to manually match pictures from your original database to your new one. If you want comments from your old database, you'll most likely have to manually copy them in via phpMyAdmn. If your picture IDs were the same, then it would be a LOT easier.
