Title: How do i make the gallery function like this...?
Post by: mikefpi on July 18, 2005, 02:50:42 AM
I need the gallery for my art site, and i need users to be able to upload to the folders i have created for them.
Such as the "Abstract" section, and people can have there own photo album there showing there work etc. I have created folders, but people cant place them in the albums i've made, just on there own personal albums.

I also need to get rid off the admin validation for this albums. As validing so many files will be a pain in the @$$ for me.
Thanks.

Edited::
Sorry forgot to mention, where do i edit to make the top links shorter or remove some? like "Album list" to main. And My Favorites to my Favs, etc? I need this cause im trying to squeeze the gallery in to my main site. And this links are stretching it. So it doesn't fit mostly cause of it.
Thanks.

1) RTFM: groups (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#group_cp) | album properties (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#album_prop) | config: "Users can have private albums (Note: if you switch from 'yes' to 'no' any current private albums will become public)" = yes
2) One question per thread!

Thanks. I had found the solution, apparently we are forced to approve all uploads. It's fine, no biggy. ^_^

No, you're not. On the groups page, set "Pub. Upload approval" and/or "Priv. upload approval" to "no" and your users will be able to upload without admin approval. That's why I posted the link to the docs: it's all in it.
