Title: Adding a "buy print" option..
Post by: jjkatrina on August 09, 2005, 09:12:16 PM
Hi! I was just wondering if there was a way to add a simple "Buy Print" option in the regular image view? I could add a link in the comment, since Coppermine uses the [] tags, but I want it to be noticed better - maybe somewhere along the top, or to the left of the <prev>and<next> buttons? I already removed the e-card feature out of my config, and it doesn't show up there anymore..how would I maybe add a link there for people to buy my pictures as prints?

If that would be too complicated to code, maybe a way to just place a link directly underneath the image (above the title and comment area, a static link that stays the same) to a site where they can buy my prints?

Thank yoooooooooou in advance!!  :-*

There are 3 hacks, 2 using paypal, and 1 using Mals ecommerce that add buy now/add to cart buttons.  Check the mods board for them.

I found the " Adding a "buy print" option.. " in the mods section, but I do not want to add an actual shopping cart and sizes and all of that to my site, I just wanted to add a button somewhere that would always link to the same site ( http://prints.deviantart.com )..and for it to specificly be near the image somewhere (as sad, in place of the ecard button or maybe directly below the image, but above the comment/title)

can anyone help with this? I know it must be simple..I just don't know where to go in and edit the code.. ???

your time is much thanked!!  ;D

to add a static link, just edit your theme.
