i searched and found out that GD doesn't handle bitmaps. so i checked with my webhost, and ImageMagick is installed on their server. I got the path and changed the apropriate options in config. when i try to upload a bitmap, it says "0 uploads were successful". no error message, though. other file types upload no problem. here is my debug info:
EDIT: almost forgot...i did set the number of upload boxes to 1. still no error message.

P.S. JPEG, PNG and GIF are bitmaps too. You're probably refering to the BMP format: although it has the word "bitmap" in the name, it's not the only bitmap there is. In fact, there are only two types of graphics files: bitmap and vector. This was just for clarification of terms, won't solve your issue though.
