Title: Previous picture could not be placed... (error)
Post by: clarkie on September 19, 2005, 11:01:38 PM
Can you help me?  [URL: http://www.clarkcentral.co.uk/  UID: test PWD: test]

I have tried setting everything as you have outlined in the troubleshooting guide.  I then tried to upload a file, but got this message:

Critical error
The file 'albums/userpics/10004/DSCF0079~0.JPG' can't be inserted in the album

Error executing ImageMagick - Return value: 127

Cmd line :
/usr/bin/convert -quality 80 -antialias -geometry 100x75 'albums/userpics/10004/DSCF0079~0.JPG' 'albums/userpics/10004/thumb_DSCF0079~0.JPG'

The convert program said:
sh: line 1: /usr/bin/convert: No such file or directory

File: /home/prfclark/public_html/db_input.php - Line: 305

And the logfile says this:

You need to determine and specify the correct path to imagemagick in config or switch to GD2 if available.

Hi Nibbler

Thanks for your prompt response.  I'm afraid though, that I am a bit of a newbie at all of this.  I have installed CPG using Fantastico, on a shared hosted server, so I need to ask for a little more direction here.

I know what a 'path' is, but need to know what I am looking for - is it something like 'ImageMajik.exe'?  Also, is it likely to be in my set of folders on the server, or something my ISP has to do for me?

I have no idea what GD2 is, so I'll pursue the above route for the moment.

Thanks

Clarkie

Switching to GD2 in config is likely to work for you, if it doesn't then seek support from your host.
