I have completed the installation process (several times) and I am unable to see the directory /albums/userpics when I access this function. It gives me message to use FTP to transfer files to directory. It does not forward me to the directory listings. I have checked the config settings and all seems correct. HELP !! I dont get the directory tree.
Thanks Mark
albums/userpics is hidden to stop you batch-adding files from there.

How do I resolve this ? I Have resolved the sql issue. I still do not get the directory structure listed. HELP !
Thanks again
read the batch-add section that Nibbler refered to. The userpics folder is not meant to turn up!
Reagrding your db issue: if it is solved then say so on the other thread you started. >:(

Excuse me, but none of the directories i created are coming up on a directory tree when the batch add is chosen. I have used this software before and administered it, but never installed it. I get that infamous message instead of any directory tree.
I took care of the DB thread :-\\
Thanks
Have you read the documentation and followed all the steps regarding directory permissions?
I get everything to work but the batch add feature. I followed the directions to the letter
You did not put any subdirectories in the /albums/userpics directory, correct? Your tree looks something like this?
cpg/albums
cpg/albums/edit
cpg/albums/userpics
cpg/albums/upload1
cpg/albums/upload2
In this example, upload1 and upload2 should be visible if permissions are set correctly (777 or 755, depending on server setup.)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PATIENCE !!!!
Resolved many thanks kegobeer, if you are in the nyc area - drinks on me !
No problem. In the future, make sure you've read and understand the documentation.
I understood and read the documentation as I am a network engineer myself, I misunderstood the directory sturcture until i saw it laid out by you. Thanks again
