Title: Backup
Post by: JJ1973 on October 04, 2005, 04:49:02 AM
OMG. I was messing with a template for my gallery and I lost ALL of my pictures in the process. Is there any way I can get them back??? Please let me know because I do not want to have to upload all of them again.

Thanks,

JJ

Just to clarify... did you lose the albums folder and/or its contents?

A link to your gallery might help.

JJ, why did you send PMs to devs? You were not asked to send the PM. (JJ sent PM to me as well)

Instead you could have posted the link to your site in this thread.

Hi,

Here is the link http://www.mooreofmandy.com/photos

I still have the categories listed when I click on the categories. And when I go to albums still shows that listing, and I still have all my members, but my configuration is messed up because I clicked on the restore button when I was trying to make a layout.

View your database using phpmyadmin, navigate to the cpg_config table and set debug_mode to 1.

Where would I find the cpg_config in my database? I have looked all over in the phpmyadmin for it and did not find an option like that. just lists everything in my gallery that was contained.

I am sorry about the last post, I am not trying to get attention. Just need some help on what to do. It is frustrating to put in so much work and end up losing it because of a simple mistake.

Apparently you did not do it correctly as debug mode is not enabled. Further support from me will cease until the 'powered by coppermine' footer is replaced. (Perhaps you should take this up with your host if it was not you who removed it).

needless to say that he sent a PM to me as well. >:(

If you fail to respect board rules, copyrights and common sense just one more time, you'll get banned.

Hi,

Well I am still pretty new here. So I am not aware that I am not supposed to send you guys PM's.

I did not violate any copyrights. My hosting company, who uses a coppermine gallery, said there was a corruption in one of the files so they had to put in their configuration. Therefore that is not my faiult.

I was just trying to get some help so I did not lose any of my stuff. I was hoping I could take an easier route than to contact my hosting service but I seem to have went into a middle of nowhere with this. So I do not know what to do at this point as far as saving my stuff is concerned and having it added to the new install.

I didn't get a PM :(

I believe you are hosted with globat, so the footer removal is not your fault. If you can PM me an FTP login to your site within the next few hrs I can take a look at sorting out your gallery for you.
