Title: problems uploading
Post by: mzsparrow on October 11, 2005, 06:27:41 AM
so I save all the files I wish to upload to my computer, then I upload them onto my ftp client, smartftp. I then go to my gallery->batch add files->and find the files I want to upload. I click on the folder and.....either there are only 2 or 3 files out of 20 or so, or none at all. But they ARE listed on the FTP client. Whats up?

something like http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg13x/albums/themes/2bornot2b.jpg, i.e. a link not only to your coppermine page, but directly to a file you uploaded.

ah okay. so:

http://www.cursed-online.com/gallery/albums/magsposters/normal_fr1.jpg

theres alot of files where this happens. Basically its everything I try to upload...everything previously was okay until I got to the mags/posters section.

may be related to the fact that when I go to above mentioned url, I'm getting redirected to http://gummibunny.com/archives/Angry_Face.jpg

nope!
There are no files in magsposters but directories... eg 'cotbp mags'. Please move that folder up one level and replace the space with an underscore (that it reads something like albums/cotbp_mags/somefile.jpg ) and retry

lol, yes, in the magsposters subdirectory! But in the directory magsposters  you don't have any files
Check your links above to verify eg. albums/magsposters/normal_fr1.jpg
it doesn't exist! In magsposters are only directories and no files you would have to open a subdirectory to actually see files
eg: http://www.cursed-online.com/gallery/albums/magsposters/cotbp%20mags/normal_SkyPirate.jpg (as you can see the file you wanted to link is not in magsposters but in magsposters/cotbp mags/)

No read again what I've written in my last post and we can go on fixing your issue

ah im confused. so i have

gallery->albums->magsposters->cotbpmags, cotbpposters, dmcmags, dmsposters.

and I want to move cotbpmags etc up to the same level as the magsposters? how can I do that?

hmm.. forget it for now.. I just thought it may be easier to troubleshoot. Now have a look at your initial post...
Quoteeither there are only 2 or 3 files out of 20 or so, or none at all

you have the files all in different folders... this structure gets reproduced by coppermine (2 levels). Now open batchadd. You see the 'Select directory' and below
magsposters
-cotbp mags
-cotbp posters
-dmc mags
-dmc posters

click 'cotbp mags' and make a screenshot
