Title: vBulletin and Additional Users
Post by: xeon711 on October 18, 2005, 06:11:00 AM
Ok when a user registers they become an Registered user, which has no uploading access to gallery.  When the user joins the user group they become an aditional user for that group.  That group has upload access to the gallery.  But it does not work, it only works if they are the primary user.

I am using
vBulletin 3.0.9 (Only template modified no core files were changed)
CPG 1.3.3

Let me know, this might be a weird issue and I searched the site with no luck.

why don't you give upload permissions to the registered group then?

Yea, I know. But they are technically in the other group too.  They are just additional users.  Which the galelry should see? Is tehre anyway I can make it see that?

The vb bridge doesn't tell Coppermine about the additional groups, all it passes to Coppermine is the primary group. It should be possible to modify the bridge file so that additional groups are taken into account, but since vb is a commercial app this would need to be a user contribution.
