Title: costum thumbs for movies again
Post by: main on October 18, 2005, 03:48:15 PM
I've searched the board and followed the documentation but it just doesnt work!?

i've uploaded the image abc.jpg and abc.avi via ftp(then batched) and uploadpage -> didnt work ???
the jpg is handled as a normal pic, so thumb_ normal_ are created. and the movie still has its default thumb.

i use 1.3.5 which is great.
thanks for any help!    ;D

You didn't follow the instructions; you didn't name your thumbnail image correctly.

http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg13x/docs/index.htm#cust_thmb

Quote from: DocumentationUsing the example in the screenshot, its thumbnails could be 'thumb_thailand_waterfall.gif', 'thumb_thailand_waterfall.png', or 'thumb_thailand_waterfall.jpg' , chosen in that order.

Actually, the real filenames are:
http://www.inaie.net/snapshot/albums/userpics/10007/CIMG1683.AVI
http://www.inaie.net/snapshot/albums/userpics/10007/thumb_CIMG1683.jpg
on
http://www.inaie.net/snapshot/displayimage.php?pos=-804

Haven't tried, but have you tried renaming CIMG1683.AVI to cimg1683.avi and thumb_CIMG1683.jpg to thumb_cimg1683.jpg ? On Lunix machines, capitalization DOES matter.

THANKS!
GauGau you're absolutly right. its the capitalization. to be more precise its the capitalization just for the extensions. so the *.AVI was too much for him.
mark this threat as "solved".
thanks again.  :-*
