Title: Directory permissions
Post by: ironhead on October 18, 2005, 08:25:37 PM
I'd like to use CPG for an image gallery on my site, but I've got some concerns over setting any directories with 777 permissions, as I was burnt by this before (a hacker uploaded files directly in to the directory and was using as a file depot).  Is there a way around setting world writable directories?  I'd be happy with 755...

Are there any instructions on how to secure a CPG install?

Thanx!  :)

Sure, you can use 755 if your server supports it.

In the future, please search before posting, as this has been discussed before. Please read the smf thread refered to in those postings.
