Title: Right Click Disable & Password Protect
Post by: logopolis on November 10, 2005, 02:13:09 PM

Three hopefully quick questions.

1) Is it possible to disable the 'Right Click, Save File' type options to stop visitors from saving pictures in Coppermine. If so, then how do I go about setting that up. Is it something I can do via the configuration options or will I need to edit and insert code into a file?

2) I beleive it's possible to make individual Albums private so that only users I specify can view them. I assume this is done via a username/password? I would appreciate it if someone could explain how it's done.

3) Is there anywhere I can prevent other websites from hotlinking to pictures on my website, and effectively stealing pictures and bandwidth?

Thanks.

Regards,
Loopolis

You can set viewing permissions on a group by group basis, see http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg13x/docs/index.htm#album_prop . Password protected albums are available in the next version of Coppermine, 1.4

Try searching google for htaccess hotlink protection, this can't be done from within Coppermine itself.

Also note we have a one question per thread policy on this board, please bear this in mind in future.
