Title: Noober question on a fresh install.
Post by: MIRROR on November 21, 2005, 03:40:29 AM
Newcomer to Coppermine. Just installed fresh 1.3.5  I done a preliminary Upload of only 5 files and of course selected a Category and all that to enter them in then proceeded to draft my descriptions along with each of the 5 pics. Simple begin stage i done.

However on the user front page those 5 pics are repeated Twice! in that viewers gallery.

The first eight frames of which only my 5 pics are displayed read Random files

Now directly under those are another similar eight frames with the exact duplicate 5 pics displayed and they read Last additions.

How exactly do i go about sorting this out so that only the 5 pics i uploaded for display show and not also duplicates?
This is what it shows in one of the headings:
5 files in 1 albums and 1 categories with 0 comments viewed 1 times

Thanks for any advice on getting this corrected. I take it maybe a setting correction is needed?

Keep uploading files and these will change.

The random files table, randomly display pictures from all your albums.
The lastup table, displays what was most recently uploaded.

Since you only uploaded five files and all five files were uploaded at the same time, they naturally appear in both tables and are identical.
