Post by: expunge on November 21, 2005, 05:47:04 AM

Thanks in advance

You really should have searched. This has been asked many times. And the answer is always "no".  You can rename it, but in your case, it wouldn't really change a thing.

As long as you set up your site so that no one else can upload files or create albums, the user gallery will never be visible to anyone, except you. That is, when you are logged in.

If you don't want to use User gallery, you need to use batch add. The user gallery comes from using http uploads.

hm, not exactly: the "user galleries" category on the coppermine index page doesn't come from using http uploads or not, it comes from creating personal galleries. You (as coppermine admin) should go to the groups page and disable "can have personal galleries" for everyone including the edministrator group. If you don't have albums or files in the user galleries section, then it won't show up. Create public categories and albums (using the links "categories" and "albums" in the admin menu) and bacth-add your files there.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the clarification, Joachim.
