Title: Ecard and SMTP
Post by: Hansi on November 26, 2005, 03:02:12 PM
I think this is a bug, but I'll post it here anyway so you can decide.

Coppermine 1.4.2
Apache 2.0.55
PHP 4.3.11
MySQL 4.0.26

I'm using the SMTP settings for host/username/password.
Ecard doesn't work unless I preview it first. If I click "Send ecard" directly it doesn't even show up at the SMTP server. Coppermine however says it's sent,, but no go.

Unable to verify, works fine for me.

I don't know what else to say, because this is what happens to me.
I've tried svereral times too. At least five times in each way, and I get the same result every time.

Send ecard = no go
Preview -> Send ecard = works fine

I can also add to it that Coppermine 1.3.5 on the same machine sends ecards without any troubles. And that's with SMTP settings set in mailer.inc.php.

I can confirm Hansi's observation. The same's happening here with 1.4.2, fresh download on Dec 2.

Running on Windows 2000 Server
PHP 5
MySQL 5

using external SMTP server requiring authentication. Cards get sent fine when previewed first, no email when skipping preview.
