Title: How do I un Bridge from Joomla/SMF
Post by: Fith on November 27, 2005, 03:51:24 PM
Hi, I'm sure I found this info some months ago and should have learned my lesson the first time.  ::) but after searching I cant find it anymore

I moved Joomla and my SMF directories but forgot that I had bridged CPG within CPG. Now when I access CPG I just get a Fatal Error msg. Could you tell me which bit I need to edit to point CPG back to my Joomla instal OR how to reset CPG to stand alone which may be a better option.

Go to the bridgemgr.php and unbridge.

that happened to me once when trying to bridge smf and cpg, solving it by upgrading to latest version and change mysql mode to traditional, not sure which one did it.

anyway, you'll need to go to your database, using phpmyadmin maybe, and change cpg_config->bridge_enable to 0.
that should get you back to normal.

Thanks for that  :D  :-*  ;D. That got me the stand alone version back. Also when I re-ran the bridge wizard I got CPG linked back to Joomla.

Unfortunately when I try to bridge it to my SMF Forum instead of Joomla I get the same fatal error... This may be due to a mdoification of a template.

Thanks for your help
