Title: User groups not syncronized!
Post by: noworyz on November 29, 2005, 06:51:25 PM
Hello, After completeting the bridge process with phpbb 2.0.18, my usergroups are not syncronized.

The only groups I see are the 4 that coppermine creates. admin, registered, guests and banned.

I have some other groups in my phpbb that are not showing up!

I tried doing the post count group import but it creates three more groups called A B and C or something like that.  I don't have groups based on number of posts so I don't think this is what I should do.

Any suggestions on how to get my user groups synced from my phpBB.

Does this work with phpbb.  The thread you pointed me to is for SMF.

It's a general issue, not directly related to bridging.

Ok, that seemed to work.  Is it normal for it to have a group called Administrators and a group called admin?

It seems that it left the default groups for coppermine and then added the groups from my forum.  It seems to be in full working order though.

That's normal. If you created a group called admin then it will be imported.

Ok, just noticed that normal users can't create there own albums.  There isn't a group in my forum for the normal users therefore I can't set the permissions for them to be able to create an album.  How do i allow regular users that are now part of a group to create an album in the users gallery and upload photos?

Regular users should now be in the 'Registered' group.

That is what i thought but I just logged in as a regualr user and there is no button to create almubs or upload files.  I have it set in the group permissions to allow them to create personal albums.

I created a test account for you to check it out.

OK, I see the problem. Can you see if the issue still exists with the latest version of the bridge file, attached to this post.

don't cross-post! I'm in a different time-zone, I sometimes need to go to work, take a nap and so on, possibly at other times than you'd expect. I have a private live as well. This is not a hotline, don't expect supporters to be online all day and react within minutes. Allow hours or even days for an answer, we're unpaid volunteers.
This thread was solved, don't hijack threads, not even ones you started yourself. The other unrelated thread you refered to has been solved as well.

I use phpbb 2.17 at the moment, so the attached file is not useful for me.

The "register"-link in coppermine redirected to ucp.php, i changed this to profile.php and now it works.
