used fantastico to install older version, having problem upgrading to latest version, main page says

I upgraded through fantastico, there is a link showed up says upgrade to 1.4.2 after I intsalled 1.3.4.  http://www.bakunetwork.com/photos/

the files didn't get upgraded properly, your gallery is still showing that its running on the <!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.3.4--> codebase.

Same thing happened to me fantistico said all went well but version still says 1.3.4 and I get the same errors.
I have my host looking into it for me.

don't use fantastico. Get a package from our site and upgrade as suggested in the docs.
