Title: buttons missing after 1.3.5 -> 1.4.2

I'm logged in as admin, and I think I'm missing some buttons:

But everything seems to work fine...

I've done lots of upgrades in the past, and this is the first one that goes wrong.

Hey, I have just the same problem.. After upgrading to 1.4.2 when I choose Polish language file in Config page I don't have some of buttons (just like on jovada's picture). I don't know what it is, but when I change the language to German or English it seems to be all good. I am using the language file which I downloaded with a package of Coppermine 1.4.2.
Aaaa.. and no matter what theme I'll choose it's still the problem with Polish language file.. will anybody help me/us?

I changed the "character encodig" field to the recommended setting, and that was the solution.
But now my album is always in Dutch, even if I set it to English utf-8, which it is supposed to be. Or does it read my locale settings or something?
Does the album appear in your own language? -> http://jorisvandael.be/album

edit: I enabled the "Display language list" option, changed the language to English utf-8 that way, turned the "Display language list" off again, and now it remains in English! What a strange way to change the language...

  • Upgrade your custom theme or use one that comes with coppermine
helllo gaugau... i have installed 1.4.2, but use an "old" theme (anime) with an altered css, which i would very much like to keep. of course, currently i have the problems that are described above (missing buttons, etc on http://www.bbrats.com/gallery/index.php)
how can i upgrade it being a non-whizz?
much appreciated

read the theme upgrade guide that comes with the coppermine package as suggested. It explains what you need to do to make your cpg1.3.x theme work with cpg1.4.x

This only changes the language display for you since it is cookie related. By default, Coppermine reads your browser's preferred language and looks if that language is in the lang folder, then use it. If you want your gallery to be only in english, you must remove all the other language files in your <coppermine>/lang/ folder.
