i upgraded from 1.3x to the newest 1.4 via fantastico. once that was complete i had the issue of not letting nonlogged in people access pictures. (where every time you change it in config, it reverts after you save changes). sooo, i just decided to "restore defaults" and redo my settings afterwards. once i did that, all acounts had disappeared including admin accounts. i've read some of the other posts on here that had similar problems and tried to do what they suggested but in most cases, i couldn't find the .php files they were referring to.

any ideas? i've already begun to download all my pictures in the case i have to start from scratch but i'd much rather not lose comments/ratings, etc
Follow the instructions posted here (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24516.msg112788#msg112788) and don't use fantastico in the future.
