Title: Installation
Post by: jamesjoyce on December 11, 2005, 01:06:39 PM
Hi,

Yesterday I upgraded my "standalone" version of Coppermine to 1.4.2 (no problems): see http://www.d-eye.be/portfolio (http://www.d-eye.be/portfolio)

Because I wanted to install a CMS I tried phpnuke (a lot of troubles) but managed without too many toubles installing postnuke 0.761: see http://www.d-eye.be/website (http://www.d-eye.be/website) I still have a lot work to do...

Finally I installed PN CPG 3.1.
I think most of the things are OK; when I look at my database, there are two extra accounts (guest, admin) which coppermine took over from PN.

I have a problem (lack of knowledge) with point 5 of the readme.txt file:

5.  Link the module into a menu block as : {pnCPG}
   or as :
{pnCPG:main&task=users} to have a direkt link into a users gallery
   or as :
{pnCPG:main&task=upload} to have a direkt link into a users gallery for uploading

Can anyone clarify this for me, please? Which steps exactly to make?

When I click on add block there are 4 pnCPG blocks. I tried the "last albums" for instance but then I got the message in my main page 'block doesn't exist'. Probably because of 5?

What I'd like to do is:
1. a list with my albums (Concerten, Evenementen, ...) (see http://www.d-eye.be (http://www.d-eye.be)) Clicking on the album will open coppermine in the middle
2. my stats as on the bottom of my homepage (see http://www.d-eye.be (http://www.d-eye.be))

Thanks very much!

OK. I figured it out myself... What to do?

Go to Blocks/Main menu
Edit the Main menu Block

Title: album (or something else)
URL: {pnCPG} (or one of the other two)

That's it!
