Title: Flood Protection
Post by: fan4chevy on December 18, 2003, 09:04:02 PM
My coppermine just got flooded from some Russian jerk and had 100s of nasty pictures. I want to be able to allow people to upload like 2 images but to be able to protect against flooding.  Please help me in figuring out how to setup flood protection.

thanks so much

Charles

if you're really running cpg1.0 (at least you posted in the 1.0 board), you should consider upgrading to the most recent version (1.2.1 at the moment). To avoid flooding, just set the user quota to some value that makes sense, or even restrict the usage or user galleries to people you know (add them to a separate group ). Some real flood protection would mean taking into account how many pics have been uploaded in a specific period - coppermine doesn't do this at the moment, so you'll have to code it.
