Title: New users arent added to Coppermine - Invision PB 2.0.4/cpg1.4.2 bridge
Post by: Laurence Currie-Clark on December 24, 2005, 08:34:14 PM
Coppermine install: http://forums.theskatepress.com/photo
Forum install: http://forums.theskatepress.com
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
Forum version: Invision Power Board 2.0.4
Test user account: Guus / juice

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://forums.theskatepress.com
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../
Use post-based groups?:  1

I recently bridged my bbs and coppermine, without any problems except that the users groups had only one letter instead of their full name, but it didnt seem to modify the performance.

All current users at the bridge can access Coppermine, but anyone who has registered since cant access it, and are redirectred to the forum login page even if they are already logged in.

And now for some reason, it only just started, but I cant log in as admin either. This might be following when I recounted the members on the BBS, but the bridge was working for a while.

All other, old members can still login however.

P.S My admin user on the BBS is Laurence Currie-Clark and Laurence on Coppermine. Does this change anything? It was working fine before.

Any users that were in Coppermine before you bridged are not available once you bridge, check the documentation.

There were no users in Coppermine when I bridged, except for the admin user, I guess thats that you mean.

My problem is that new users on the BBS (Since the bridge) cant log in to Coppermine, and since today neither can I. All other members can.

The bridge file does not support having a cookie name prefix set. Try removing it.

I removed the prefix from Ibp but that didnt seem to do anything. Is that what you meant?

There must have been a recent cookie change somewhere. I'm on my other PC with an old cookie which logs me in. I try accesing with a different browser (thus no cookies) and i don't seem to recieve the cpg140_data cookie which I think is important.

It's set to 'ibp' at the moment. I can't tell you exactly what that setting is called in ipb, I'm not familiar with the software.

ipb was blocking me so when I did it it auto reverted me. I just changed it properly now.

And it works. Amazing support, I thank you greatly.
