For reference, the gallery is located at ekahn.com/totsepics
One day the whole thing decided to not allow anyone in, saying it was 403 forbidden. I tried uploading the new version released a few days ago, same problem. Any idea why I can't access any files? The recent changes I made were in the config, changing the header text.
I can access everything via ftp or the cpanel, just not http. I should also mention I am the webhost.
Any ideas how I can fix this?
Thanks
Seems like the same issue as http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=25656.0
I'd suggest you contact your host.
I am the host :p I'll edit that into the OP
I suggest reviewing the whole idea of self-hosting.
I figured out the problem. I don't think it was a hosting problem, but coppermine's. I removed the line:
Options FollowSymLinks SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
from .htaccess in the gallery directory, and then everything worked again.
How is it Coppermine's problem? Coppermine doesn't create that file.
Coppermine didn't create this?

Not by default. It's an optional plugin.
it's even an experimental plugin that is only recommended for advanced users - it's flagged accordingly.
