I encountered problems with upload approval for a specific group.
I created a group "test1" and set permissions to yes for upload in private albums and approval
But this doesn't work. I created a user which belong to that group. But upload approval seems only
to work when I change the permissions for the group Registered.
Is it possible that the group test1 inherits permissions from "registered"?
The other thing is when I for example change the upload fields for group test1, I get the settings from
group registered even though the user is definitely set to belong to test1 with first and second member group
Any suggestions?

all your users are members of the registered group as well. In fact, your test user is member both of the registered group and the group "test1". The least restrictive permissions get assigned to him, which means (as the registered group has upload approval turned off) that the user's uploads will apear instantly (without admin approval).
Solution: enable upload approval for all groups except admin. If you want to have a special group of users you fully trust, assign upload_approval=no just for them.
