i can make sure the php and mysql is running properly and the setup for apache or iis is correct or not
and i try install on apache and iis6, i cant sucess
can everybody give me a step by step installation
Sounds like this is a personal webserver - you need to get your server working before attempting to use Coppermine.
my IIS and Apache is running properly, and those server are host several website
i just dont know how to attach php and mysql to those server
i cant make it work
We say this because we care, but you should not run a personal web server unless you are an expert. Seriously. Especially when entering into mysql and php where there are more opportunities for exploitation. If you get web hosting, you can make money back with ads or affiliate commissions.
running both IIS and apache on the same machine is a ridiculous waste of time and resources - both are webservers. Having both running on one box is like having the Titanic and the Queen Mary II in a fish-pond and complaining about having so little place to manouevre. This board is not dedicated to teach people how to run webservers. We assume that people already have their webserver up and running (preferably webhosted). Then (and only then) you can make up your mind on running coppermine. However, I have to backup what Thu suggested: don't run your own webserver. We don't say this to be rude or discourage you, but you really shouldn't. For details, read the thread http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=24115.msg118000#msg118000 (and many others).
i am getting the new problem now
what does that mean
i am running 2003 server with windows firewall,MySQL 5.1
Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered
MySQL error was : Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client
As I already told you: this board isn't meant to teach you webserver setup. Yours is not a coppermine question, but a question how to set up your webserver. Find help on webserver setup elsewhere on the web, not on this board. You really shouldn't continue at all.
