Title: Unable to login
Post by: RCDad on January 04, 2006, 11:35:51 PM
I read the other treads concerning this issue and tried the solutions given.   My site is located at http://dads-toy.com/photos/

I did an upgrade recently thru cPanel, I then found I could not login (as admin or anything else).  I then read here that I should upgrade to the latest stable release which I just completed.  I still can not login.

I've tried the following;
Deleting all cookies
Going into phpmyadmin to look into the users and figure it out, unfortunatlely I'm not that good with the program and can not locate that data?

I hope you can help.  If not, I have all the pictures saved, I'll just do a complete reinstall with the latest stable release.

I ran update.php for you, try again.

I had done that also.  No luck on the login.  What's weird is when I go to the password recovery feature it doesn't even recognize my email address?

use the original files from our page instead of the auto-installer you found in your cpanel app.

Let me clarify what I did.  cPanel had a previous upgrade, no the latest which you have here.  Ok so I did that earlier upgrade.

One problem was a person had to login to see the pictures.  I tried several times to set the configuration so that anonymous users could see the pictures but it would not save (perhaps this tells you what version that upgrade was).

One thing I left off was from there I clicked on "Set default values" or whatever that choice was called.  Coppermine then allowed anyone to view the images but I could no longer login.  When you tell Coppermine to go back to default values does it somehow erase all users?

From there I came here and downloaded the latest release, installed it, still no luck on the login, and here I am.

Thanks so much for your help.

Well... I guess I need to delete everything and start all over.

When you upgraded to 1.4.3, did you follow the upgrade instructions, or did you just overwrite the files?
