I've read through this board to try to find info on my own, but I can't find it.....
I upgraded to version 1.4.2 today, and was trying to set up my gallery to show the albums without the login screen like it used to.
I couldn't get any of the things I changed in admin mode to stick, so I clicked on "restore factory settings".
Since doing this, my login is obviously not recognized anymore. I went to PHP my admin on my webhost, and it still shows it as a valid login and password.
I don't know what to do at this point. I would like to be able to login and take control of my photo album again.
