Title: SQL issues trying to register
Post by: canoeist on January 13, 2006, 09:12:21 PM
I have run the install routine and entered the mysql information.  But when i try to create the tables I get this message.
mySQL Error: Column count doesn't match value count at row 1on query 'INSERT INTO cpg133_users VALUES (1, 1, 'YES', 'xxxxxxxxxx', 'xxxxxxxxxxxx', NOW(), NOW(), '', '', '', '', '', '', '')'

I have set up the cgi ok and received the mysql details from my ISP.  I have set the chmod settings on the folders as instructed.  can you help please.

P.S for xxxxx read usr name and passwrod. ( I assume)  I changed it for the post.

1) judging from the prefix, I guess you're installing the iutdated version cpg1.3.3, so you're on an entirely wrong board
2) are to trying to install into the cgi-bin folder? You mustn't
3) Post a link

GauGau
I definitly downloaded 1.4.3.  I did wonder when install told me that the default prefix was cpg133.  The only thing taht could be an issue. is that I have copied my album folder from my other web page and that could be 1.3.3.

http://ccgi.canoeist.plus.com/cpg/install.php  is this the link you want.  Do you need my user name and pasword.

Thanks for the help

I notice from another post that MYSQL should be local host.  My ISP have given me a name which I entered here.   I will try local host.

You only use localhost if that's what the webhost says to use and it turns out that's how many do it. But if your webhost provides a name, use it. You can't make up this stuff.

I have reloaded cpg143 and it all now works thanks.  I did not load my albums this time.

Thanks.

P.S is it possible to use 133 albums in 143?

Cheers

Yes, you can use 1.3 albums with 1.4.

did you upgrade or did you install a fresh copy? I find this thread very confusing. If you upgraded, you should have done as suggested in the upgrade section of the docs instead of a fresh install.
