Title: How do I add a header to my gallery?
Post by: obisgirl on January 16, 2006, 04:09:52 AM
I have my coppermine gallery all set-up and all my pics uploaded but now I want to change the header to my gallery with my own header. How do I do that?

edit themes/yourtheme/template.html to change the look (static stuff like a cutom logo or similar). For more advanced stuff, you'll need to edit themes/yourtheme/theme.php. You'll have to be more specific and post what you actually want changed (posting a link to your site would be helpful for a start as well) for a detailed answer.

I want my gallery to have a header like this site (http://www.sobiwan.net/gallery/index.php)

Right now, this is what my gallery looks like (http://obidala.pure-thoughts.net/gallery/index.php)

to add a custom banner, edit themes/yourtheme/template.html then.
To change the colors, edit themes/yourtheme/style.css

The page you refered to has created a custom theme - you'll need to know html and css to accomplish this. I suggest reviewing the demo, using the "choose a theme" dropdown. Choose the theme that most closely matches the look you want to accomplish, download it from the themes download section (download link at top of this page). You have posted in the wrong section of the board - you're using cpg1.4.2, while you posted on the cpg1.3.x support board. I'm moving your thread accordingly.

Joachim

P.S. You should upgrade to the most recent stable version cpg1.4.3
