Hi folks !
I want that every user has different permissions to albums. I thought I create for each album a group - and so each user will just become rights to these groups. I looks like it works fine.
Is this a usual way to do that, or is there an other way ? Is there a limitation of creating groups ?

You can't assign users to albums. If you want albums to be specific to users, you'll need to assign the users to their own groups and assign the group to the album.
Does that make sense?
coppermine doesn't have that granular upload permissions for public albums. What you're up to should be done using personal galleries, not public ones.

That's what I did. If there is no limitation for the quantity of groups I'll be okay for me.

Only viewing can be fine-tuned that granularly using groups, upload permissions can't be set up that way. I'm afraid to say that Thu is wrong in this case (sorry@Thu ;)). Do as I suggested.
I don't mind being wrong and corrected. but hmm... I thought that the question was about views and not uploads. Oh well. :)
My question was only about viewing. Not about upload. Upload I won't need (at the moment).

Can I deduce from the previous posts that it's impossible to have upload permissions based on groups ou users by albums in the public section ?
If I give permission to upload for a specific album, every group who is autorized to upload will be able to do so ?
No known work-around ?? ;)
