Title: Problem with logs directory
Post by: meiffen on January 18, 2006, 11:15:38 AM
Is there a possibility to change the logs directory?
On my server already exists a logs directory. But this directory is not writeable. It´s a serversided dir. So after upgrading I can´t access the page and I got an fatal error.

do you have problems upgrading or are you trying to accomplish a modification?

Shouldn't the site's logs directory be outside of the web docs folder? Unless you have no other way to view them?

I don´t know why the folder is visible, but you can´t access from a browser (only ftp).
On the webspace CPG 1.3.0 is running. Now I want to upgrade to cpg 1.4, but there´s the problem with the logs directory.
What can I do? Is there a modification or something like that?

If it can't be viewed in a browser, it shouldn't be in the web docs folder. Could you not ask your webhost to change the way the set it up so that the logs folder is somewhere else so such a conflict doesn't exist?
