Title: Post install fatal error
Post by: umpljazz on January 26, 2006, 07:03:55 PM
I have tried searching for existing posts about this problem but nothing I found directly related to it.

Basicially, straight after the successful install I goto click the 'goto main page' button which directs me to the index.php url and I'm presented with the message...

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare cpggetmicrotime() (previously declared in /home/jamesb/domains/bailey.org.uk/public_html/gallery/include/init.inc.php:35) in /home/jamesb/domains/bailey.org.uk/public_html/gallery/include/init.inc.php on line 33

I am doing a first time basic install without any extra modules etc.

Can anyone shed any light on the situation?

Thanks in advance.

make sure that you have uploaded all files from the coppermine package and that you have unzipped the package with the option "preserve folder structure" enabled. A link to your coppermine install might help.

The folder structure was all preserved when I unzipped it.

Here is a link to my gallery installation. I wonder if anyone could offer any more advice?

Did you modify any of the coppermine files before uploading? Did you edit them with a WYSIWYG text editor like MS Frontpage? What FTP app did you use, and in what mode did you upload (ASCI/Binary/Auto)?

I didn't open the files at all, just unzipped them and uploaded straight away.

I dont have SSH access to my server so I cannot unzip it directly on the server.

When I upload im using cuteFTP and its uploading on 'auto detect' form. Should I change this to ASCII or binary?
