Title: mysql error after install cpg 143
Post by: Mariluz1976 on February 06, 2006, 12:57:23 AM
Dear folks,

I'm trying to install Coppermine but this is what I get after putting in de data in the install.php screen in my browser:

mySQL Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'valuesessions ( session_id varchar(40) NOT NULL default '', on query ' CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS cpg143_default valuesessions ( session_id varchar(40) NOT NULL default '', user_id int(11) default '0', time int(11) default NULL, remember int(1) default '0', PRIMARY KEY (session_id) ) TYPE=MyISAM COMMENT='Used to store sessions''

I haven't got a clue what I am to do now. Don't know anything about mysql. I know my webhoster is using mysql 4.018.
How en where am I to put this data in??? :-[ :-\ ;)

Looks like your files got corrupted during upload. Try re-uploading them or post a link to your gallery.

Thx for ur reply. I found my mistake. In the install sheet I put in cpg_143 default value at the question about tables.
When deleted the default value part, it worked. Got one step closer now :)

Next problem is a blank page and fatal error after installing.
This is een common problem i understand. I will try installing from the start?! 8)

Where did 'default value' come from in the first place ?
