Title: 500 error on subdomain
Post by: john_d on February 06, 2006, 11:58:37 AM
hi guys... this is kinda wierd for me to ask since im a developer too ( just a bit busy at the moment to find the problem )

got a site with 1.40 installed on it.
i was using windows with apache then i moved it to a cpanel host to get better performance, so to speak
well on windows everything worked well, but i doubt i has anything to do with the os.

http://gallery.johnd.org < this is the one i wanna use
http://www.johnd.org/gallery < is that one that is working

i really dont see the reason why gallery.johnd.org would not work? since both of them are running from the same folder

i have search some post on the forum, but most 500 errors wer of bad installation of files.
but if one should work, the other one should work too.

if u can help .. would be great. would save me a lot of time

I think the issue is server related and you will need to ask your webhost for help. Also is that subdomain configured to work? One more thing... look into server logs to find why 500 errors are coming.

Of no help :(. Please confirm from your webhost that subdomain is working. Tell them that your subdomain gives 500 error. Sorry i can't suggest anything else.

got a site with 1.40 installed on it.
Are you refering to cpg1.4.0? If yes, then second question: any particular reason for running the alpha when we have a stable release cpg1.4.3 already?
