Title: Search and Keywords
Post by: nontekkyguy on February 15, 2006, 03:38:49 AM
I've received emails from my gallery members that their searches yield no results. Is there a way to optimize this function so that registered users will be able to find the photo or object based on their key word searches?  I've simulated one member's search and indeed no results returned. There are no error messages, just no matching photos.

Post a link to your gallery, something to search for and what you expect to find.

I cannot post my gallery link in the forum as it contains imagery with nudity. I can however send the information via private msg. One of the artists (yes, my site is a gallery space for artists), cannot upload since I made some changes.  Thanks for offering to help.

It's OK to post links to coppermine galleries you have issues with even if they contain nudity or other adult content as long as you post a warning with it, something like
QuoteLink to my gallery: http://foobar.tld/blah/ Warning: link is not worksafe

My mistake was not to use the proper parameters for separating each word, plus not toggling keyword searches on in the Config User Menu area.
Words are separated with one space. Word groups (phrases and the like) are separated with an "_" (underscore.... eg  monkeys_that_eat_bugs)
